Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life is a farming and life simulation from Marvelous for Nintendo Switch. Set in Forget-Me-Not Valley, it follows a newcomer who inherits a farm and begins a quieter life within a rural community.

Days are spent developing the farm while getting to know the valley’s residents. The game’s long-term structure follows changing seasons and passing years, connecting farm progress with relationships, marriage, and family life.

Farm Life in the Valley

Players can plant and harvest seasonal crops, care for cows, sheep, and chickens, and collect products such as milk, wool, and eggs. Fishing, foraging, and digging for fossils, coins, and other finds provide additional activities away from the fields. Farm produce and gathered ingredients can also be used for cooking.

Crops, Animals, and Improvements

Crop cultivation includes the possibility of creating hybrid plants by combining seeds. Livestock care supports the farm’s daily routine, while tools and facilities can be improved to make work more efficient. Managing stamina is part of planning each day’s tasks.

Relationships and Generations

Conversations, gifts, and festivals help build bonds with the people of Forget-Me-Not Valley. Players can choose a spouse, marry, and raise a child through multiple stages of life. As time advances, the child’s future is influenced by the player’s actions and relationships, giving the farm story a generational focus.
