Assassin’s Creed: The Rebel Collection is a Nintendo Switch action-adventure bundle from Ubisoft, released on December 6, 2019. It includes two historical entries in the Assassin-Templar conflict: Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed Rogue.

The collection moves between the Caribbean and the North Atlantic, pairing open-world exploration with stealth missions, parkour, sword combat, and ship-based encounters. Players follow two protagonists whose paths offer contrasting perspectives on the conflict.

Two sides of the conflict

In Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, privateer-turned-pirate Edward Kenway becomes involved with Assassins and Templars while sailing alongside figures including Blackbeard and Calico Jack. Assassin’s Creed Rogue follows Shay Patrick Cormac, a former Assassin who joins the Templars after a tragic mission and pursues his former Brotherhood allies.

Seafaring exploration and combat

Each game centers on a ship: the Jackdaw in Black Flag and the Morrigan in Rogue. Naval play includes sailing, battling enemy vessels, boarding ships, collecting resources, and improving ship equipment. The settings range from Caribbean islands and cities to icy northern waters, the Appalachian River Valley, and New York.

On land and off the beaten path

Ground missions use the series’ stealth, assassination, and parkour systems, with opportunities to scout routes, use cover, and engage in close combat. Side activities include treasure hunting, hunting animals, naval contracts, collectibles, and other exploration-focused objectives. The collection supports English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, and Chinese languages.
