04 About Pikmin 3 Deluxe

Pikmin 3 Deluxe is an action, adventure, and strategy game from Nintendo, released for Nintendo Switch on October 30, 2020. It follows three explorers from the food-starved planet Koppai: Alph, Brittany, and Captain Charlie.

After crash-landing on the mysterious planet PNF-404, the separated crew must find one another and gather fruit for their mission. Their most important allies are the Pikmin, plant-like creatures that can be directed to carry objects, break barriers, battle wildlife, and solve environmental problems.

A mission for food

Koppai faces a severe food shortage, sending its explorers into space to locate new supplies. PNF-404 offers abundant fruit, but its environments are dangerous and its resources must be collected before the crew can return home. Fruit is turned into juice, extending the time available for exploration.

Commanding Pikmin

Different Pikmin types provide distinct advantages. Red Pikmin resist fire, Yellow Pikmin can be thrown higher and handle electricity, Blue Pikmin travel through water, Winged Pikmin fly, and Rock Pikmin use crushing power. Choosing the appropriate group is central to overcoming obstacles and enemies.

Managing the day

Players can switch between Alph, Brittany, and Charlie to handle tasks in separate parts of the map. Efficient planning matters during the daily cycle, especially when gathering fruit, scouting hazards, fighting large creatures, and making sure every Pikmin reaches the Onion or a captain before nightfall.
