Survival begins with gathering materials, crafting equipment, and creating shelter. As the island opens up, players can explore varied regions, uncover explorer notes and obelisks, and pursue clues surrounding the ARK and its unknown creators.

Survive the prehistoric wilderness

Hunger, thirst, changing weather, and temperature extremes are constant threats alongside hostile creatures. Resources can be turned into tools, weapons, armor, and structures, allowing survivors to establish protected bases and prepare for increasingly dangerous encounters.

Tame, ride, and breed creatures

More than one hundred dinosaur species and other prehistoric animals can be tamed. These creatures may be ridden, used to gather resources, or brought into combat. Breeding also allows survivors to develop animals with improved stats and distinct color mutations.

Exploration and progression

The island includes jungles, snowy mountains, oceans, and volcanic caverns to investigate. Boss encounters and powerful guardians form part of progression, while tribes let players pool resources and construct larger settlements. The game also includes both PvE and PvP elements.
