Prison Simulator

04 About Prison Simulator

Prison Simulator places you in the role of a rookie guard working inside a maximum-security prison. Rather than following a fixed storyline, the game centers on a career shaped by daily decisions, inmate encounters, and the reputation you build on the job.

Maintaining order means balancing discipline with prisoner welfare. Your approach can influence relationships with inmates and superiors as new situations, conflicts, and moral choices arise during each shift.

Guard Duties

Daily responsibilities include patrolling cell blocks, monitoring inmate activity, conducting cell searches, overseeing routines such as meals and recreation, and escorting new arrivals or high-risk prisoners. You also document incidents and report on prison life.

Security and Emergencies

The facility can present threats including contraband, fights, escape attempts, riots, and medical incidents. Observing behavior, gathering information through inmate interactions, and responding quickly are central to keeping the prison secure.

Career Progression

Performance affects your standing within the prison. Completing duties and handling situations effectively can lead to promotions, while new equipment and abilities become available as your guard career develops.

Release Information

Prison Simulator was developed and published by Console Labs. It released on June 2, 2023, for Nintendo Switch, with support for English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Spanish.
