Shovel Knight Dig is an action-adventure platformer from Yacht Club Games, released for Nintendo Switch in 2022. It combines the series' familiar shovel-based movement and combat with a run-based roguelite structure centered on descending into an unpredictable underground world.

After Drill Knight and the Hexcavators erupt from beneath the ground and take Shovel Knight's prized dirt mound, the blue hero follows them into the newly opened chasm. His pursuit leads through dangerous layers filled with enemies, treasures, secrets, and imposing bosses.

A Changing Descent

The underground routes are procedurally generated, so each trip downward presents a different arrangement of vertical passages, hazards, opponents, and possible detours. Hidden paths and alternate routes can lead to valuable finds while also changing the risks faced during a run.

Digging and Combat
