STAR WARS: Battlefront Classic Collection brings together classic large-scale battles set across the Star Wars galaxy. Released for Nintendo Switch on March 14, 2024, this action shooter lets players take part in conflicts from both the Clone Wars and the Galactic Civil War.

Battles unfold on recognizable worlds including Hoth, Endor, Geonosis, and Kashyyyk. Rather than following one character’s story, the collection places players within major galactic struggles between the Empire and Rebel Alliance, or the Republic and Separatists.

Battlefield roles and objectives

Players choose from different soldier classes with their own weapons, equipment, and battlefield roles. Matches revolve around large, objective-based engagements, with classic modes such as Conquest, Capture the Flag, and Hunt. Command posts are central points of contention, creating shifting front lines as each side fights for control.

Vehicles, heroes, and villains

Ground troops are joined by Star Wars vehicles, allowing players to pilot AT-ATs, Speeder Bikes, and starfighters such as X-wings. The collection also includes hero and villain characters including Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, and Yoda, bringing distinctive abilities into the action. Blasters, grenades, and special equipment provide further options during combat.

Classic content and multiplayer

The collection supports local split-screen play and online multiplayer for up to 64 players. It also includes bonus maps and characters that were previously exclusive to the Xbox version. Published by Aspyr, it is available as an eShop release with English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Russian, and Chinese language support.
