Damascus Gear Operation Osaka is an action role-playing game set in 2097, after the catastrophic Ragnarok incident leaves humanity threatened by autonomous machines known as RAGE. Players take the role of a rookie GEAR pilot sent into a heavily damaged Osaka to help reclaim the city.

Working alongside a small mercenary group, the pilot faces dangerous missions and increasingly formidable mechanical enemies. The campaign centers on the struggle for survival in a world overrun by RAGE, while exploring the events surrounding Ragnarok and the machines' origins.

Real-time GEAR combat

Missions combine close-range attacks, ranged assaults, and objective-based tasks. Players may be asked to clear areas, protect important targets, escort assets, or confront powerful RAGE units. Combat also requires attention to the GEAR's heat gauge, since overheating can leave its systems exposed during a fight.

Build a personalized mech

Defeated enemies can provide parts, while additional equipment is available through the shop. Weapons, armor, and core systems can be combined to alter a GEAR's appearance, statistics, offense, defense, and mobility. Different loadouts can be prepared for fast opponents, durable bosses, or other mission demands.

Pilot development and tactics
