EARTH DEFENSE FORCE: WORLD BROTHERS 2 is an action-strategy game set in a voxel version of Earth that has been broken into countless fragments by a mysterious new enemy. EDF soldiers have been scattered across worlds, dimensions, and timelines, leaving it to a new team of heroes to reunite them and confront the threat behind the disaster.

Players build a squad of four brothers and sisters, then switch between them during battles against giant alien insects, robots, and other monsters. Released for Nintendo Switch on May 26, 2024, the game supports English, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.

Build a flexible EDF team

Each recruit brings distinct weapons, abilities, and special skills to the squad. Choosing a varied group can help cover different combat situations, while collecting scattered EDF members expands the available roster and opens up more team combinations.

Destruction-driven battles

Combat takes place in highly destructible voxel environments. Buildings and terrain can be blasted apart to clear routes, reveal enemies, or reshape the battlefield. The arsenal includes firearms, rocket launchers, lasers, plasma weapons, and other tools suited to overwhelming enemy swarms.

A fractured-world mission

The campaign follows EDF fighters working to restore their shattered planet and bring its separated defenders back together. Familiar characters and new faces join the effort, with the series' large-scale alien attacks framed through a blocky visual style. Cooperative missions are also included.
