The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet of Chaos – Chicken Edition is a role-playing strategy game for Nintendo Switch, released on June 24, 2021 and published by Plug In Digital. It combines turn-based tactical encounters with a comic take on traditional fantasy adventure.

Players guide a famously dysfunctional band of seven heroes, including familiar archetypes such as the Ranger, Elf, Dwarf, and Barbarian. Their search for the Amulet of Chaos leads through a dangerous dungeon full of strange creatures, traps, secrets, puzzles, and satirical dialogue.

Tactical dungeon battles

Combat centers on positioning the party carefully and using each character’s distinct abilities. Environmental elements can create advantages during encounters, while formations, crowd-control skills, equipment, and character progression provide ways to adapt to different threats.

Comedy and exploration

The adventure parodies fantasy RPG conventions through the group’s bickering, mistakes, and personalities. Exploration extends beyond battles, inviting players to investigate dungeon areas, discover hidden details, interact with the setting, and face unusual encounters.

Chicken Edition

This edition offers a more forgiving difficulty intended to make the tactical experience more approachable for newer players, while retaining the game’s strategic combat and humorous fantasy tone.
