About Beyond Good & Evil: 20th Anniversary Edition

Beyond Good & Evil: 20th Anniversary Edition brings Ubisoft’s action-adventure to Nintendo Switch. Released on June 25, 2024, this English-language edition follows Jade, an investigative reporter and martial artist living on the planet Hillys.

When the alien DomZ menace Hillys and its people, Jade sets out to protect the children in her care and investigate the truth behind the attacks. Her search leads toward the Alpha Sections, the resistance network known as IRIS, and a conspiracy that reaches beyond the planet’s apparent defenders.

Investigation on Hillys

Jade uses her camera to gather evidence, photograph creatures, and document what she discovers. The story combines espionage, rebellion, and personal relationships as she works alongside Pey'j and, later, Double H to reveal hidden secrets.

Action, stealth, and exploration

The adventure blends combat, stealth, environmental puzzles, and exploration. Jade can move between direct confrontations and quieter approaches, while companion abilities help overcome obstacles. Her Beluga hovercraft is used to cross Hillys’ waters, access new locations, race, and engage in vehicle combat.

Anniversary edition additions

This edition updates the presentation and controls while preserving the original mix of adventure and investigation. It also includes a new treasure hunt connected to Jade’s past and a gallery of development artwork.
