A personal horror story

The narrative centers on Sally's determination to find Emily while confronting a world shaped by fear and anxiety. GYLT explores themes including bullying, loneliness, friendship, and the uncertain boundary between reality and nightmare.

Exploration, stealth, and puzzles

Players guide Sally through dark, distorted environments containing hidden dangers and environmental puzzles. Avoiding creatures is an important part of progress, with shadows, objects, distractions, and observation helping Sally move through threatening areas.

Light against the darkness

A flashlight serves as both a source of illumination and a defensive tool. Finding clues and hidden items can reveal more about the town, its secrets, and the path toward Emily.
