Guacamelee! One-Two Punch Collection brings together the two Guacamelee! games in a Nintendo Switch package from DrinkBox Studios. Released on August 7, 2019, it blends action and platforming with Metroidvania-style exploration across a world inspired by Mexican culture.

The collection follows Juan Aguacate, an agave farmer who becomes a luchador after finding a powerful mask in the Land of the Dead. His first adventure begins with a rescue attempt against Carlos Calaca, while the sequel sends the established hero through alternate timelines to face a new threat to the Mexiverse.

Luchador combat and movement

Juan fights skeletal and monstrous opponents with wrestling throws, special attacks, uppercuts, and combo-based moves. New abilities expand both his combat options and his movement, opening routes that were previously out of reach.

Living and dead worlds

Dimension switching lets players move between the Land of the Living and the Land of the Dead. This mechanic is used to uncover paths, solve environmental challenges, and navigate platforming obstacles that demand timing and precise movement.

Exploration and challenges

The games feature hidden areas, collectibles, upgrades, platforming sequences, and large boss encounters. Local cooperative play is also available, allowing two players to combine attacks and work through challenges together.
