NINJA GAIDEN Ragebound is an action-platformer for Nintendo Switch, published by Dotemu. It places Ryu Hayabusa, heir to the Dragon Ninja lineage, in a conflict against the Nether Scourge, an ancient force that threatens all life.

Ryu’s journey spans mystical locations and forgotten realms as he searches for sacred artifacts connected to the threat’s return. Along the way, he faces new enemies, encounters allies, and confronts the Ragebound corruption.

Fast-paced ninja combat

Combat centers on quick reactions, timing, and precision. Ryu can use weapons including the Dragon Sword, scythes, and shurikens, each with different move sets and combo potential. Ninpo abilities provide powerful magical attacks for difficult encounters and groups of enemies.

Platforming and exploration

Levels combine combat with demanding platforming sections, hidden routes, secret items, and environmental elements that can be used during battles. Careful exploration can reveal useful resources and additional challenges.

Progression and major encounters

Weapons, gear, and Ninpo abilities can be upgraded to develop Ryu’s combat options. Large boss battles require distinct strategies, while enemy patterns, defensive maneuvers, weapon selection, and resource management are important parts of overcoming the game’s challenges.
