Bayonetta 2 is an action-adventure developed by PlatinumGames and published by Nintendo. The sequel follows Bayonetta after a demon attack during a shopping trip pulls Jeanne's soul into Inferno.

Determined to save her friend before her soul is consumed, Bayonetta heads toward Fimbulventr, a sacred mountain connected to the demonic realm. Her journey brings her into conflict with angels, demons, and a masked Lumen while revealing more about the Lumen Sages and Umbra Witches.

Stylish combat

Combat centers on fast combinations, evasive movement, and precise timing. A well-timed dodge activates Witch Time, slowing opponents and creating an opening for extended combos and powerful counterattacks. Learning enemy patterns is important for making the most of this defensive option.

Weapons and finishing moves

Bayonetta can use an imaginative selection of weapons with different attack patterns, including heel-mounted pistols, fiery claws, and large scythes. Players can experiment with weapon pairings and techniques to shape their preferred approach. Cinematic Climax attacks and Umbran Climax provide especially forceful ways to deal with dangerous foes.
