Tales of Symphonia Remastered is a role-playing game from BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment, released for Nintendo Switch on February 17, 2023. This edition revisits the adventure with remastered visuals while preserving its classic Tales of combat and exploration.

The story follows Lloyd Irving and his childhood friend Colette Brunel, the Chosen of Mana. Their pilgrimage to restore mana to the fading world of Sylvarant gradually reveals the connection between Sylvarant and Tethe'alla, along with difficult truths surrounding their mission.

A journey between two worlds

Colette's task to regenerate her world demands sacrifice, and the party's travels uncover secrets that challenge their understanding of destiny. The narrative addresses discrimination, sacrifice, and the uncertain divide between good and evil through its characters and revelations.

Real-time party battles

Combat uses the series' Linear Motion Battle System. Players directly control one character in real time while other party members are handled by AI, with options to adjust party strategies and AI behavior. Artes, mystic techniques, elemental considerations, and unison attacks add tactical choices to encounters.

Exploration and character systems

The adventure includes overworld travel, towns, dungeons, environmental puzzles, hidden areas, and optional skits that expand on personalities and lore. Players can gather ingredients for meals, manage equipment, and customize characters through Ex Skills. The game supports Handheld, Tabletop, and TV modes, with single-system play for one player.
