04 About FAIRY TAIL

FAIRY TAIL is a role-playing game developed and published by Koei Tecmo for Nintendo Switch. Released on July 16, 2020, it brings the anime and manga series into a fantasy RPG centered on the Fairy Tail guild and its mages.

The story begins after the Tenrou Island arc and follows major events including the Grand Magic Games and Tartaros arcs. Natsu, Lucy, Erza, Gray, and other guild members face challenges that test their strength, bonds, and determination.

Turn-Based Magic Battles

Combat uses turn-based party battles with up to five mages. Characters have individual magic, elemental strengths, and special attacks, while coordinated actions can create magic chains and team-up techniques. Raising bonds between guild members can unlock Awakening abilities and other cooperative battle options.

Guild Requests and Growth

Requests from the guild board provide quests, rewards, and opportunities to advance. Progress also involves improving the Fairy Tail guild hall, developing mage statistics, learning spells, and using Lacrima crystals for additional stat and passive ability benefits.

Places and Characters

Players can assemble parties from familiar mages such as Natsu, Lucy, Erza, and Gray while exploring locations including Magnolia Town and quest destinations from the FAIRY TAIL universe. The journey features recognizable enemies and powerful bosses from the series.
