Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is an action-adventure prequel set in the world of Eiyuden Chronicle. It follows CJ, a scavenger drawn to New Nevaeh by reports of valuable Rune-lenses in nearby ruins and by her search for a particular treasure.

New Nevaeh is recovering from a destructive earthquake, and its rebuilding effort becomes closely tied to CJ’s journey. As she explores the settlement, wilderness, and ruins, she encounters Garoo, a beastman, and Isha, the town’s young Deputy Mayor.

A town rebuilding after disaster

Quests for New Nevaeh’s residents support the restoration of the town. Completing these tasks earns stamps that can unlock facilities, shops, services, and upgrades, connecting the town’s progress with the party’s wider adventure.

Three-character action

CJ, Garoo, and Isha form a three-person party, with players able to switch between them during battles. Their different abilities serve combat and traversal, while linked attacks combine their strengths into elemental combinations for tougher enemies.

Ruins, resources, and secrets

The journey spans 2.5D dungeons and wilderness areas containing enemies, bosses, environmental puzzles, hidden paths, and treasure. Materials gathered from foes and the environment can be used for crafting and for improving weapons, armor, and accessories.

Nintendo Switch release

Developed and published by 505 Games, Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising launched for Nintendo Switch on May 10, 2022. It supports English, Japanese, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Russian, and Portuguese.
