SWORD ART ONLINE Alicization Lycoris is an adventure role-playing game set in Underworld, drawing from the Alicization arc of the anime. Kirito awakens in the virtual realm without knowing how he arrived and joins Eugeo on a journey to find Alice, Eugeo’s missing childhood friend.

Their travels cross the Human Empire, where they face its strict order and the powerful Administrator. The game also includes the Ancient Apostles storyline, an original addition supervised by Reki Kawahara.

A journey through Underworld

The story revisits major Alicization events while expanding the setting with new challenges and perspectives. Kirito and his allies confront threats connected to the Dark Territory as they fight to safeguard Underworld and the people living within it. Themes of artificial intelligence, humanity, and friendship shape the adventure.

Real-time party combat

Battles use real-time action with weapon choices, combat styles, skills, defensive actions, and powerful Arts. Players can work alongside AI-controlled companions to create chain attacks, while equipment and skill selections allow the party to be adjusted for different encounters.

Exploration and character growth

Underworld features towns, wilderness areas, quests, NPC interactions, and hidden discoveries. Materials can be gathered for crafting equipment and items, while customization options let players personalize characters. Dialogue choices and special events develop relationships with party members, unlocking further interactions and partner abilities.
