Unravel Two is an adventure, platformer, and puzzle game released for Nintendo Switch on March 22, 2019. Developed and published by Electronic Arts, it follows two Yarnys linked by a shared thread through a visually driven, wordless journey.

The red Yarny, separated from its former home, meets a blue Yarny in an unfamiliar world. Their intertwined connection accompanies two children facing personal struggles, with the environments and challenges conveying themes of fear, love, resilience, and finding hope in darkness.

Two Yarnys, One Thread

The central mechanic is the thread joining the two Yarnys. It can be used to swing across gaps, climb, pull objects, tie to anchors, and form paths through the environment. Players can take on the game with two people controlling separate Yarnys, or play alone by joining and separating the pair when needed.

Platforming and Environmental Puzzles

Progress depends on timing, movement, and using the surroundings creatively. Physics-based puzzles ask the Yarnys to manipulate objects, make bridges, and navigate interactive spaces, while natural dangers and industrial machinery create additional hazards. Sparkles of light can be collected to open further challenges and areas.

Unravel Two supports English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, and Japanese. It is region free for Nintendo Switch, with Electronic Arts serving as both developer and publisher.
