04 About Strange Brigade

Strange Brigade is an action-adventure game from Rebellion, released for Nintendo Switch on June 15, 2021. Set in 1930s Egypt, it follows a group of four adventurers confronting the returned witch queen Seteki and her supernatural army.

The journey leads through tombs, temples, canyons, and other perilous ruins filled with undead enemies, ancient traps, hidden relics, and secrets. Combat, exploration, and environmental puzzles are central to the expedition.

A supernatural Egyptian expedition

Seteki’s awakening threatens the world with an army of mythological creatures. The Strange Brigade must cross dangerous archaeological sites, face curses and monsters, and uncover the secrets surrounding the witch queen’s return.

Third-person combat and traps

Players fight mummies, skeletons, giant scorpions, and other supernatural foes with weapons, character-specific abilities, and charged amulet attacks. Environmental hazards can also be activated to strike groups of enemies, while enemy weak points and careful ammunition use add tactical considerations.

Four distinct adventurers

The game supports a brigade of up to four players, with each of the four characters bringing different weapons and supernatural powers. Team members can coordinate attacks, revive fallen allies, search for hidden routes, and collect upgrades, weapons, treasure, and lore across the levels.
