GOD EATER 3 is an action role-playing game from Bandai Namco for Nintendo Switch. Set after the emergence of the corrosive Ashlands, it follows an Adaptive God Eater, or AGE, fighting amid humanity’s fortified ports and the threat of the Aragami.

Battles center on hunting enormous Aragami with transforming God Arcs, weapons that can shift between melee and ranged forms. Players gather materials from missions to craft and improve equipment while developing a preferred combat style.

A world under the Ashlands

The Ashlands have transformed once-familiar regions into dangerous wastelands, leaving people dependent on underground strongholds called ports. As a new-generation AGE, the player is drawn into a struggle for survival and freedom that examines sacrifice, companionship, rebellion, and the effort to resist an imposed fate.

Transforming weapon combat

God Arcs support rapid transitions between close-range and gun forms, encouraging players to adapt to each encounter. Burst Arts, Dive attacks, and the ability to devour Aragami for temporary boosts add further options during high-speed fights. The Biting Edge and Heavy Moon expand the available weapon choices.

Hunts, upgrades, and cooperation

Aragami have differing weaknesses, making observation and weapon selection important. Materials earned through hunts can be used to strengthen weapons and shields, while character appearance and fighting approach can be customized. Missions can be undertaken with AI companions or alongside other players, including opportunities to use Link Bursts with teammates.
