Diablo III: Eternal Collection is an action RPG set in Sanctuary, where the Nephalem investigates a fallen star at Tristram Cathedral and confronts the return of Diablo and the Prime Evils. The collection includes the original campaign, the Reaper of Souls expansion, and the Rise of the Necromancer pack.

Reaper of Souls continues after Diablo’s defeat as Malthael, the Angel of Death, takes the Black Soulstone and threatens humanity. The pursuit leads through Westmarch and the Pandemonium Fortress in an effort to stop his campaign.

Seven hero classes

Players can fight as a Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Monk, Necromancer, Witch Doctor, or Wizard. Each class uses its own skills and playstyle, with active abilities, passive skills, runes, equipment, and legendary effects supporting different character builds.

Combat, exploration, and loot

Real-time battles pit heroes against large demonic groups and bosses across outdoor zones and randomly generated dungeons. Quests, events, hidden treasure, and randomized gear reward continued exploration. Rare, legendary, and set items can reshape a character’s strengths, while Paragon levels offer further progression after reaching the level cap.

Rifts and cooperative play

Beyond the campaign, Adventure Mode provides Nephalem Rifts and Greater Rifts for repeatable challenges and item hunting. Kanai’s Cube can extract legendary powers and reforge items. Up to four players can battle together through local or online co-op, while seasonal events add rewards, leaderboards, and changing gameplay elements.
