No More Heroes

04 About No More Heroes

No More Heroes is an action game from Marvelous (XSEED), released for Nintendo Switch on October 28, 2020. It stars Travis Touchdown, an otaku whose purchase of a beam katana draws him into the United Assassins Association.

Determined to reach the number-one position, Travis takes on the association's top assassins across Santa Destroy. The game combines exaggerated humor, violent confrontations, and the everyday concerns of earning money and paying rent.

Climbing the Assassin Rankings

Travis faces ten highly ranked assassins as he pursues the top spot. Each opponent brings an eccentric presence and a distinct motivation, giving the major encounters a personal role in his climb through the UAA.

Beam Katana Combat

Combat centers on Travis's beam katana, with combos, finishing attacks, dodges, and parries used against enemies. Wrestling techniques add grapples and suplex-style moves, while keeping the katana charged is an important part of staying effective in battle.

Life in Santa Destroy

Between assassination assignments, players can explore Santa Destroy, seek activities and hidden items, and work odd jobs such as mowing lawns. Earnings can be spent on equipment, clothing, and beam katana enhancements, allowing Travis's capabilities and appearance to develop over time.
