No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle

04 About No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle

No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle is an action game from Marvelous (XSEED), released for Nintendo Switch on October 28, 2020. It follows Travis Touchdown as he returns to the world of ranked assassins after a personal tragedy ends his quiet life.

Three years after reaching the top, Travis is drawn back into the UAA rankings to pursue Ryuji, the rival responsible for killing Sylvia Christel’s younger sister. His climb brings him into conflict with a new collection of unusual assassins while conspiracies emerge around his mission.

Beam Katana Battles

Combat centers on Travis’s beam katana, with light and heavy strikes, grapples, throws, and finishing moves. Players must also monitor the weapon’s battery and find opportunities to recharge during fights. Dodging enemy attacks can create openings for counters, while boss encounters reward attention to individual attack patterns.

Progression and Side Activities

Santa Destroy includes side missions, hidden items, and retro-inspired mini-games. These activities provide money for equipment and upgrades, while training facilities can improve Travis’s health, strength, and tension. Different beam katanas offer distinct attack styles, and clothing can be customized.

Language Support

The Nintendo Switch release supports English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, and Russian.
