04 About GRID Autosport

GRID Autosport is a racing simulation published by Codemasters and developed for Nintendo Switch by Feral Interactive. Released on September 19, 2019, it covers professional motorsport across a range of vehicle types, circuits, and racing formats.

Rather than following a fixed narrative, the game centers on a career journey from rookie driver to established competitor. Team contracts, objectives, reputation, victories, and rivalries shape progress through the racing world.

Five motorsport disciplines

Competition is divided into Touring, Endurance, Open-Wheel, Tuner, and Street racing. Each discipline calls for a different approach, from close touring-car battles to the precision needed for open-wheel events and the strategic demands of endurance races.

Cars and locations

The roster includes more than 100 vehicles, spanning classic muscle cars and modern supercars, with individual handling characteristics. Racing takes place across 22 locations and over 100 routes, combining real-world circuits with city-based courses.

Driving and race management

Handling is supported by adjustable difficulty and assists, allowing the experience to be tailored to different skill levels. Damage can affect both a car's appearance and performance, while endurance events add pit-stop, tire-wear, repair, and fuel-management considerations. AI opponents provide varied on-track competition.
