Astria Ascending is a role-playing game for Nintendo Switch set in Orcanon, a magical world guarded by eight Demi-gods. As their three-year cycle approaches its end, Ulan and the other protectors must confront the Noises—dark entities threatening the realm—and seek a way to avert disaster.

The adventure combines a story focused on sacrifice, friendship, and fate with travel through hand-drawn 2D locations, including cities and ancient ruins. Players guide a party of eight Demi-gods while uncovering clues and facing increasingly dangerous challenges.

Turn-Based Battles

Combat uses a classic turn-based structure built around party strategy, elemental weaknesses, positioning, and character abilities. The F-Orb mechanic can strengthen attacks and support magic, while demanding boss encounters require careful use of each party member's skills.

Party Development

Each Demi-god can be shaped through job classes, abilities, equipment upgrades, and crafting. Collecting materials allows the creation of items and improvements for tougher encounters, and experimenting with class combinations can create different strengths across the team.

Exploration and Challenges

Orcanon’s regions encourage exploration beyond battles. Environmental puzzles, hidden treasures, side content, and scattered materials reward players who investigate the world’s locations. The journey is accompanied by an orchestral soundtrack and a narrative featuring memorable characters and plot developments.
