Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp is an Adventure game from Spike Chunsoft for Nintendo Switch, released on November 04, 2021. It brings together characters from Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, and Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony.

Set in a lighter alternate scenario on Jabberwock Island, the game follows a 50-day summer camp hosted by Monokuma Jr. Rather than a killing game, the focus is on character growth, island events, and interactions across the wider Danganronpa cast.

Board game progression

Players guide selected characters around a large board, where different spaces can trigger events, battles, rewards, and opportunities to improve their students. Over the course of the camp, characters earn experience, develop stats, learn skills, and gain abilities. Different routes can also lead to encounters and item discoveries.

Characters and customization

More than 60 Danganronpa characters can be trained and collected. Character-specific event scenes highlight their personalities and create new interactions outside the main series' usual setting. Hype Fragments can be used with the MonoMono Machine to obtain characters and special items, while equipment and skill cards allow combat builds to be adjusted. Swimsuit costumes are also available for the cast.

Tower of Despair battles

The Tower of Despair provides turn-based fights against waves of enemies. Trained characters can be assembled into teams for these battles, with rewards available for overcoming the tower's challenges. Party composition, skills, equipment, and enemy weaknesses all play a part in preparing for combat.
