Disgaea 1 Complete

04 About Disgaea 1 Complete

Released for Nintendo Switch in 2018, Disgaea 1 Complete is a role-playing game developed and published by NIS America. It revisits the Netherworld adventure of Prince Laharl with enhanced graphics while preserving the series’ comedic tone and strategic focus.

After waking from a two-year slumber, Laharl discovers demons competing for control of his kingdom. Accompanied by his vassal Etna and Flonne, an angel sent from Celestia, he sets out to reclaim his place as Overlord amid strange encounters, satire, and unexpected warmth.

Turn-Based Tactical Battles

Combat takes place on grid-based maps where positioning, skills, special attacks, and team-up combinations shape each encounter. Geo Panels can provide useful battlefield effects or introduce hazards, making careful movement and planning important.

Character Growth and Customization

Players can build a party from a range of character classes, develop weapon proficiencies, and improve units through leveling. Transmigration resets a character’s level in exchange for bonus statistics, supporting long-term experimentation and stronger builds.

Item World and Dark Assembly

Every item contains its own Item World, an endlessly structured dungeon used to strengthen equipment. The Dark Assembly lets players propose bills that can affect gameplay, including unlocking characters and improving shop discounts.
