04 About Disgaea 4 Return Complete+

Disgaea 4 Return Complete+ is a tactical role-playing game from Nippon Ichi Software. Set in Hades, it follows Valvatorez, a former Tyrant working as a Prinny instructor, after the Corrupternment begins eliminating the Prinnies he promised to reward with sardines.

Joined by his werewolf servant Fenrich, Valvatorez begins a revolution against the corrupt regime. The campaign brings together characters including the angel Fuka, the demon Desco, and Artina, combining political satire, loyalty, friendship, and the series' exaggerated humor.

Grid-based tactical battles

Players command a squad across grid-based maps, using positioning, special attacks, and unit combinations to overcome enemies. Colored Geo Panels alter battlefield conditions with effects such as bonuses or damage, making panel placement and chain reactions an important part of each encounter.

Build an unconventional army

The game offers extensive ways to develop characters and monsters. Magichange turns a monster into a weapon for a human unit, while monster fusion can create a larger temporary combatant. Tower Attacks let stacked characters use special abilities and extend their reach.

Systems beyond the battlefield

Progression extends through several distinct modes and management systems. Item World contains randomly generated dungeons inside equipment for improving its attributes, while Chara World focuses on raising a character's aptitudes and skills. Cam-Pain HQ lets players organize their party, assign advisors, and influence systems such as character growth and shop prices. The Dark Assembly can also be used to pursue helpful changes, including new classes and expanded shop options.
