The Rumble Fish 2 brings arcade-style 2D combat to Nintendo Switch. Set after a disaster called the Great Destruction, the game follows fighters drawn into a tournament organized by PROBE, an influential organization that controls the remnants of society.

Combat centers on fast exchanges, character-specific moves, combos, and supers. Its fighters include Zen, Hikari, and Mito, each entering the competition with personal reasons that range from survival and protection to revenge and the pursuit of power.

Offensive and Defensive Arts

A central part of the fighting system is the pair of Art gauges. Offensive Arts support aggressive techniques and combo extensions, while Defensive Arts can create space or offer countering opportunities. Choosing when to spend these resources adds a strategic layer to each round.

Impact Break and match strategy

The Impact Break system provides an additional defensive option against attacks. Effective play also depends on timing, spacing, blocking, anti-air responses, throws, and mix-ups. Different fighters favor different approaches, including close-range pressure and more measured zoning.

Modes and practice

Players can train against AI opponents or take on friends through local multiplayer. Training mode allows players to study move lists, work on combo timing, and explore the special abilities available to each character.
