Rune Factory 4 Special

04 About Rune Factory 4 Special

Rune Factory 4 Special is a role-playing game set in Selphia, where an amnesiac newcomer is mistaken for the town's prince or princess. While helping the settlement grow and draw visitors, the new ruler becomes involved with ancient runes and dangers facing the region.

Daily life mixes farm work, crafting, cooking, social events, and monster taming with exploration and real-time battles. Players can develop bonds with Selphia's residents, with some characters able to accompany them on adventures or become marriage candidates.

Life in Selphia

Cultivate crops, care for magical creatures, improve tools, make equipment, and prepare meals. Seasonal festivals and competitions provide additional activities within the community, while royal responsibilities center on developing the town.

Exploration and combat

Beyond the farm, monster-filled dungeons hold treasures, bosses, and threats connected to Selphia's larger mystery. Combat uses weapons and magic, and tamed monsters can assist either during battles or with work on the farm.

Special edition additions

This Nintendo Switch edition includes enhanced graphics and Newlywed Mode. It supports English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, and Russian.
