SUPER ROBOT WARS 30 is a tactical RPG and simulation game from Bandai Namco, released for Nintendo Switch on October 28, 2021. It brings characters and machines from multiple mecha anime series into a single strategic campaign.

Players select one of two original protagonists, Edge Sainklaus or Az Sainklaus, as a mysterious invading force draws heroes from different realities into the same conflict. The story centers on their shared fight against a powerful threat, with themes of choice, fate, and alliances between unlikely companions.

Mecha crossover campaign

The game combines original characters with series including Mazinger Z: Infinity, Code Geass, and Gundam. Pilots and robots from these worlds meet, interact, and battle together as the narrative develops through major confrontations and branching mission choices.

Turn-based tactical battles

Combat takes place on grid-based maps where unit placement, terrain, attack range, and enemy positions shape each encounter. Players command squads of mechs and pilots, using careful movement and resource decisions to manage both offense and defense.

Units, pilots, and mission choices

Mechs can be enhanced through upgrades, parts, weapons, armor, and abilities, while pilots can develop skills that improve their performance and teamwork. Spirit Commands provide special effects such as healing, stat boosts, accuracy, and evasion. The Tactical Area Select system lets players choose which missions to pursue next.
