Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles is a peaceful open-world adventure set on Gemea, an island affected by a mysterious substance known as the Murk. After being shipwrecked there, the player sets out to learn about the island, assist its residents, and help return its natural beauty.

Progress revolves around exploration and restoration rather than combat. By finding magical Sprites capable of clearing the Murk, players can open routes into new parts of Gemea and uncover more of its history and secrets.

A varied island to explore

Gemea contains eight distinct biomes, including forests, snowy mountains, beaches, and deserts. Resources, hidden areas, ancient ruins, treasure chests, villagers, and wildlife encourage players to travel beyond the main paths at their own pace.

Crafting, farming, and trades

Gathered materials can be used to make tools, structures, and other useful items. Players can establish farms in different locations, grow crops, raise animals, and organize stored resources. Trades such as carpentry, cooking, and tailoring provide further crafting opportunities as they are developed.

Helping Gemea recover

Villagers offer quests, rewards, and trade knowledge, while notice-board tasks provide additional activities. Wild animals can be befriended and adopted, and collecting Sprites remains central to removing Murk from blocked or damaged areas. Character outfits and accessories allow for personal customization during the journey.
