Oceanhorn – Monster of Uncharted Seas

04 About Oceanhorn – Monster of Uncharted Seas

Oceanhorn – Monster of Uncharted Seas is an action-adventure game developed by Cornfox & Bros and published by FDG Entertainment. Released for Nintendo Switch in 2017, it follows a young hero sailing the Great Ocean in search of his missing father.

A letter and an ancient necklace provide the first clues, leading the hero toward the mystery of Oceanhorn, a legendary monster said to threaten the world. His voyage also reveals pieces of Arcadia's forgotten past and the secrets of an ancient kingdom.

Island Exploration

The adventure moves between uncharted islands, each with its own inhabitants, hidden treasures, secret passages, and challenges. Exploration is central to the journey, with discoveries across the ocean helping uncover more of the larger mystery.

Combat and Dungeons

Combat calls for quick reactions and thoughtful use of weapons and magical spells. Players face varied enemies and bosses while learning their attack patterns. Treacherous dungeons add traps, hostile foes, and environmental puzzles that must be solved to continue.

Progression and Discovery

New items, equipment upgrades, spells, and abilities expand the hero's options during exploration and battle. Careful searching can uncover coins, hearts, useful objects, and hidden areas, while conversations with characters can offer hints for the road ahead.
