MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 3: The Black Order is a Nintendo Switch action role-playing game developed by Team Ninja and published by Nintendo. It brings together heroes and villains from across the Marvel universe for a cosmic conflict centered on the Infinity Stones.

The adventure begins when the Guardians of the Galaxy encounter the stones, drawing the attention of Thanos and his Black Order. With the threat expanding across the universe, Marvel’s heroes must form an alliance to stop Thanos before he reaches his goal.

A universe-spanning Marvel campaign

The story travels through recognizable Marvel settings including Wakanda, the Negative Zone, the Dark Dimension, and the X-Mansion. Along the way, the alliance confronts familiar villains and follows perspectives from different corners of the Marvel universe.

Four-hero action teams

Players build a squad of four Marvel characters and battle groups of enemies in real-time combat. Heroes can be switched during play, with each character bringing distinct moves and Heroic Abilities. Complementary attack types can create synergy attacks, while Alliance Extreme Attacks provide a powerful option against bosses or large enemy groups.

Hero development and customization

Characters gain levels, unlock skills, and can have their stats adjusted as they grow stronger. ISO-8 items can be collected, equipped, and upgraded to improve a team’s abilities and defenses. Team selection, defensive blocking, dodging, and the timing of special attacks all play a part in tougher encounters.

Challenges and extras

Infinity Trials offer additional challenges and rewards, while hidden secrets can be found throughout the journey. The game also includes an in-game gallery featuring collectible character voice lines and artwork.
