Mercenaries Rebirth: Call of the Wild Lynx is a tactical role-playing game developed by Rideon Japan and published by CIRCLE Ent. It released for Nintendo Switch on November 11, 2021, with English language support in Europe and the USA.

Players command the Eclaire mercenary company under its commander, Claude, as growing conflict draws the group into missions involving rival factions, dangerous opponents, political tensions, ancient mysteries, and personal struggles.

Grid-Based Tactical Battles

Combat unfolds in turn-based encounters on an isometric grid. Careful positioning, party composition, class roles, and skill choices shape each battle, while different enemy types call for changing tactics. High ground, flanking opportunities, elemental attributes, and enemy attack ranges can all influence a fight.

Mercenary Growth and Customization

Characters have distinct active and passive abilities and can develop through skill trees. Equipment and accessories provide further ways to adjust a unit’s strengths. The Rebirth system resets a character’s level in exchange for permanent stat improvements, allowing continued long-term development.

Combat Systems and Free Battles

The Rebirth Ex system provides powerful special attacks that can shift the momentum of combat. Assist actions let nearby allies join an attack, rewarding coordinated formations. Free battle stages offer opportunities to earn experience and materials before taking on more demanding encounters.
