04 About Moving Out

Moving Out is a strategy game from SMG Studio, published by Team17 for Nintendo Switch. Set in the town of Packmore, it puts players in the role of Furniture Arrangement & Relocation Technicians handling increasingly unusual moving assignments.

The objective is to load household belongings into a moving truck while working around cramped rooms, stairs, obstacles, and hazards. Its physics-based handling lets players carry, toss, and maneuver items in unconventional ways when a direct route is not available.

Packmore Moving Jobs

Each job takes place in a different location with its own layout and complications. Houses, haunted settings, pools, dangerous animals, and moving vehicles can turn a routine relocation into a difficult puzzle. Progress brings more demanding scenarios and new challenges across Packmore.

Physics and Problem Solving

Furniture and smaller objects can be grabbed, thrown, and loaded into the truck. Narrow exits and blocked paths encourage alternative solutions, such as breaking windows or fences, using levers, and finding shortcuts through the environment. Hidden objectives and bonus challenges add further goals to individual levels.

Local Cooperation

Moving Out supports solo play as well as local multiplayer with up to four players. Cooperation is especially useful for heavy objects that need two people to carry, while communication and planning can help teams choose routes, clear space, and load the truck before time expires.

Characters and Languages

Players can unlock additional playable characters and customize their appearance while progressing. The Nintendo Switch release supports English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, and Russian.
