04 About Yoshi’s Crafted World

Yoshi’s Crafted World is an action platformer from Good-Feel, published by Nintendo for Nintendo Switch. Released on March 29, 2019, it presents Craft Island as a colorful place built from materials such as cardboard and cotton.

When Kamek and Baby Bowser attempt to take the wish-granting Sundream Stone, its gems are scattered across the island. Yoshi sets out through a series of crafted lands to recover the gems and restore the stone.

Handmade platforming

The adventure uses a 2.5D format with stages that can be explored across both the foreground and background. Yoshi can throw eggs at objects, enemies, and distant scenery, opening paths and revealing hidden items. Flutter jumps help cross gaps and reach higher areas, while ground pounds can uncover items or break obstacles.

Secrets and collectibles

Levels contain coins, red coins, Smiley Flowers, Souvenirs, hidden routes, and other surprises. Completed stages can be revisited for further challenges, including searches for three concealed Poochy Pups. Careful exploration and well-aimed egg throws are important for finding everything each area contains.

Costumes and play options

Craft-themed costumes can be found or purchased, giving Yoshi an additional layer of protection. Mellow Mode provides wings for unlimited flutter jumps, offering a more relaxed way to play. The game also supports local cooperative play for up to two players, allowing a second player to join Yoshi’s journey.
