Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival is a music game for Nintendo Switch from BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment. Players join Don-chan and Kumo-kyun in Omiko City, taking on musical events while working toward the title of Taiko Master.

Its central challenge is built around striking red Don notes and blue Ka notes in time with each song. The selection spans genres including J-Pop, anime music, classical pieces, game music, and original Taiko tracks.

Rhythm Drumming

Songs test timing and pattern recognition through the series’ recognizable drum-note format. Players can use Joy-Cons as drumsticks, while the game also supports a traditional drum controller. Progression brings additional songs, characters, and items as scores improve.

Festival Activities

Omiko City serves as the setting for the game’s modes and customization. Omikoshi Battle adds competition as opponents attempt to power their festival floats, while Taiko Land offers mini-games and party activities.

Play Together

Don-chan’s Band lets up to four players perform different instrumental parts together. Players can also customize Don-chan and their avatar with outfits and accessories earned through gameplay.
