Army of Ruin is a Nintendo Switch action, adventure, and arcade title from Milkstone Studios, released on June 23, 2023. It places players against overwhelming waves of corrupted enemies in a world threatened by the Void Lord and its Army of Ruin.

A group of warriors, each associated with different magical powers and personal motivations, forms the resistance. Their quest centers on finding a legendary artifact said to be capable of banishing the Void Lord and restoring light to the realm.

Horde-Based Roguelite Combat

Combat combines bullet-hell pressure with roguelite progression. Players dodge enemy attacks while facing varied foes, including large bosses with their own patterns. Runs allow heroes to gain skills and upgrades, encouraging different approaches to survival and damage.

Heroes, Skills, and Builds

The game features a roster of heroes with distinct abilities and ultimate skills. Skill choices, relic effects, and an expansive skill tree support customized builds, letting players emphasize crowd control, single-target attacks, defense, or other combat priorities.

Changing Runs and Lasting Progress

Procedurally generated environments alter layouts, enemy placements, and discoveries between playthroughs. Resources collected during runs can be used for immediate upgrades or saved for persistent improvements, adding a strategic choice to progression.
