Bayonetta 3 is an action game developed by PlatinumGames and published by Nintendo. Released for Nintendo Switch on October 28, 2022, it follows Bayonetta as a threat to multiple realities emerges.

Humanity is endangered by the Homunculi, artificial bioweapons that seek to destroy every world. Bayonetta travels through parallel realities, joins forces with alternate versions of herself, and works alongside the witch-in-training Viola to stop Singularity from merging all realities into one.

Stylish combat

Fast, combo-driven battles return with timed dodges that trigger Witch Time, slowing enemies and creating openings for attacks. Bayonetta can equip different weapons, including the G-Pillar and Ignis Araneae Yo-Yo, to vary her attacks and combo options.

Demonic abilities

Demon Masquerade lets Bayonetta merge with infernal demons for transformed combat forms and powerful moves. Demon Slave allows direct control of colossal demons, giving players access to their movement and special attacks during encounters.

Playing as Viola

Viola is playable with a combat style built around her sword, parries, and the demon Cheshire rather than Bayonetta's Witch Time approach. Her distinct mechanics provide a different rhythm for battles against the game's large Homunculi foes.

Worlds and progression

Parallel-world locations contain collectibles, challenges, and alternate paths to explore. Halos and materials collected during the journey can be used to improve abilities and weapons, while major boss encounters demand quick reactions and strategic use of each character's tools.
