Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon

04 About Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon

Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon is an action-adventure prequel that follows a young Cereza before her rise as Bayonetta. Seeking power to save her mother, the witch-in-training enters the forbidden Avalon Forest despite her teacher's warnings.

Inside the forest, Cereza meets a lost demon she names Cheshire. Their journey toward the Mists of Avalon brings them into conflict with elemental faeries and other dangers, while their growing partnership shapes the story of courage, friendship, and discovery.

Two heroes, one journey

The adventure centers on controlling Cereza and Cheshire together. Cereza uses magic to bind foes and interact with puzzles, while Cheshire handles direct attacks, breaks obstacles, and can help Cereza reach otherwise inaccessible places. Progress depends on coordinating their separate strengths during exploration and encounters.

Avalon Forest exploration

Avalon Forest is a magical but hazardous setting filled with hidden routes, environmental challenges, resources, and secrets. Players can search its areas for Moon Pearls used for upgrades and Wisps that restore health, while uncovering more of the forest's mysteries.

Elemental abilities and puzzles

Cheshire gains elemental transformations, including Wood, Water, and Stone forms, which provide different combat and puzzle-solving options. Combining these forms with Cereza's spells is important for overcoming fae guardians, manipulating the environment, and opening new paths.
