Bayonetta

04 About Bayonetta

Bayonetta is an action game for Nintendo Switch, released on February 16, 2018. Developed and published by Nintendo, it follows the titular Umbra Witch after she awakens from a 500-year sleep with no memory of her past.

Her search for answers takes her to the European city of Vigrid, where she faces the angelic forces of Paradiso and the demonic powers of Inferno. Characters including Rodin, Enzo, and the young Cereza appear as revelations about Bayonetta's identity and purpose emerge.

Stylish combat

Combat centers on rapid, combo-driven fights using punches, kicks, and gunfire. Bayonetta can equip different weapons, including pistols, whips, and skates, allowing for varied approaches to enemy encounters.

Witch Time and finishing moves

A precisely timed dodge activates Witch Time, slowing opponents and opening an opportunity to attack. Bayonetta can also use Wicked Weaves, channeling her hair to summon enormous demonic limbs, and perform Torture Attacks to finish enemies in dramatic fashion.

Progression and challenges

Halos collected during the adventure can be spent on techniques, accessories, and items. The game includes massive multi-stage boss battles, while combat performance can earn ranks such as Pure Platinum. Learning enemy behavior, combo inputs, and weapon options supports stronger results.
