BloodRayne Betrayal: Fresh Bites is a 2D action, adventure, fighting, and platforming game developed by WayForward and published by Ziggurat. Released for Nintendo Switch on September 09, 2021, it presents a refreshed version of the BloodRayne Betrayal experience.

Players control Rayne, a dhampir recruited by the Brimstone Society for a dangerous final mission. Her assignment takes her into a remote castle controlled by Kagan, her vampire father, where deadly creatures and loyal minions stand between her and her target.

Hack-and-Slash Combat

Rayne fights through side-scrolling stages using arm blades, firearms, combos, special abilities, and finishing moves. Weakened opponents can be drained for blood, restoring health while supporting her survival against constant enemy pressure.

Castle Challenges

The castle combines combat encounters with demanding platforming and environmental puzzles. Players must use quick movement, jumps, dashes, and careful timing while facing grotesque supernatural enemies, hazards, hidden paths, and collectibles.

Boss Encounters

Major battles challenge players to recognize enemy behavior and choose effective approaches. The game’s levels build toward confrontations that require precise execution and strong command of Rayne’s combat abilities.
