04 About Daemon X Machina

Daemon X Machina is a third-person shooter developed by Marvelous First Studio and published by Nintendo. Released for Nintendo Switch on September 13, 2019, it places players in the role of an Outer, a human enhanced by exposure to Femto energy.

The setting follows the Moonfall, a catastrophic collision between the Moon and Earth. Femto gave artificial intelligence consciousness, leading rogue machines known as Immortals to turn against humanity. As a mercenary pilot, the player joins the fight to reclaim the future.

Arsenal combat

Players pilot Arsenals, armored mechs built for swift battles on the ground and in the air. Missions include escort assignments, clashes with large groups of AI enemies, and confrontations with colossal Immortals. Boosting, dashing, aerial movement, and weapon positioning all support a tactical approach to combat.

Build a personal mech

Arsenal customization centers on selecting body parts, weapons, armor, and internal upgrades. Different loadouts can favor heavy firepower, mobility, or other combat styles, allowing equipment choices to be adjusted for individual missions and opponents.

Outer abilities and missions

The Outer can leave the Arsenal during missions to use pilot abilities, capture points, make repairs, or collect equipment dropped by defeated enemies. Cooperative online missions are also available, letting players face more demanding encounters together.
