Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair Anniversary Edition

04 About Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair Anniversary Edition

Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair Anniversary Edition is an adventure game from Spike Chunsoft, released for Nintendo Switch in 2021. It follows a group of Ultimate students who awaken on Jabberwock Island expecting a school trip, only for Monokuma to turn their stay into a deadly game.

To escape, the students must confront murders, investigate every incident, and expose the culprit in class trials. As the tragedies continue, the secrets of the island and Monokuma’s motives gradually come to light.

Investigation and daily life

The game combines visual novel storytelling with exploration and character interactions. During daily life, players can explore the island, speak with classmates, and take part in Free Time events that reveal more about the cast. When a murder occurs, investigations require gathering evidence and examining crime scenes for clues.

Class trial challenges

Class trials put the collected evidence to use through fast-paced deduction sequences. Truth Bullets can be used to challenge false statements, while Rebuttal Showdowns focus on cutting through contradictory arguments. Logic Dive presents another way to connect information and reach the truth behind each case.

Anniversary Edition

This edition brings the class trial adventure to Nintendo Switch with enhanced visuals. The game supports English, Japanese, and Chinese language options.
