Darksiders III is an action-adventure game developed by Gunfire Games and published by THQ Nordic. Set after the events of Darksiders II, it places Fury, one of the Horsemen, in a ruined world where the Seven Deadly Sins have escaped their prison.

Charged with restoring balance by the Charred Council, Fury travels across interconnected environments, confronting dangerous creatures and uncovering the mysteries of an Earth pushed toward collapse.

Fury’s mission

Fury’s hunt for the Seven Deadly Sins is both a dangerous battle and a personal journey. Each Sin presents a major threat in the apocalyptic landscape, while Fury’s quest explores her role among her fellow Horsemen.

Combat and Hollows

Combat centers on Fury’s whip, the Barbs of Scorn, along with elemental forms known as Hollows. These powers expand her offensive options and provide new ways to move through the world. Encounters emphasize well-timed dodges, careful attacks, and learning enemy behavior.

Interconnected exploration

The game uses a focused, Metroidvania-inspired structure built around exploration and returning to earlier areas with new abilities. Hidden routes can lead to consumables, Lurcher Clusters, upgrade materials, and other useful rewards.

Progression and challenges

Souls can be collected to improve Fury’s weapons, armor, and combat skills. Boss battles against the Seven Deadly Sins and demanding enemy encounters reward tactical use of Hollows, weapon upgrades, and strategic healing-item management.
