Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny is a tactical role-playing game from Nippon Ichi Software, published by NIS America. It follows Zed, a zombie determined to defeat the God of Destruction and protect the Netherworld.

Zed's path depends on Super Reincarnation: after dying, he can begin again while carrying forward accumulated power. His quest takes him through different dimensions alongside allies including Overlord Ivar and the enigmatic Piyori.

Grid-Based Battles

Combat centers on commanding a party across grid-based maps, positioning units and choosing attacks to overcome enemies. The game retains Disgaea's exaggerated approach to character growth, with levels reaching 99,999,999 and damage values built around increasingly extreme power.

Super Reincarnation and Progression

Super Reincarnation is both part of Zed's story and a central growth system. Characters can restart at level 1 while retaining earned strength and abilities, encouraging repeated advancement. The Juice Bar provides extracts for direct stat boosts, while D-Merits award progression benefits for completing in-game achievements.

Automation and Party Options

Auto-Battle and Demonic Intelligence settings allow players to assign customizable behavior for repeated fights and targeted goals. A selection of classes, allies, skills, and weapon proficiencies supports different party combinations, while Item World exploration offers a way to strengthen equipment.
