Doki Doki Literature Club Plus!

04 About Doki Doki Literature Club Plus!

Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! begins with a high school student joining the Literature Club at the request of childhood friend Sayori. Alongside Sayori, he meets club president Monika, the reserved Yuri, and the energetic Natsuki through conversations, poetry, and everyday club activities.

What first appears to be a cheerful dating-style visual novel gradually reveals a darker psychological horror narrative. Its story uses unsettling shifts and metafictional elements to challenge expectations while exploring themes including mental health, self-awareness, and manipulation.

Visual novel choices and poetry

The game is primarily driven by reading dialogue and following its character-focused narrative. Player choices influence relationships and story routes, leading to different outcomes. Its poetry activity asks players to select words from a list; the chosen words appeal to particular club members and shape those connections.

Expanded Plus! content

This edition adds six side stories centered on the Literature Club before the events of the main narrative. These stories explore the club's formation and the relationships among its members. Players can also unlock a gallery containing CGs, concept art, and music tracks.
